Faith. Life. Tech.

I’ve been a follower of Jesus Christ since I was ten years old. Though my journey of faith has had its ups and downs (mostly related to my commitment to it, not so much my belief in it), I’ve been actively pursuing Jesus since 1997 after I graduated college. In 1998, I moved to Chicago to attend seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where I earned a Master of Arts and worked as a youth pastor.

In 2003, I moved back to Little Rock to work at the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas. At Mosaic, I served as the young adults pastor and director of communications. That’s where I began my study of web design and discovered my inner computer geek.  :)

The most important and amazing part of being on staff at Mosaic was that I met my wife on my first day on the job. After being just friends and coworkers for about 9 months, Ines Velasquez and I started dating in June 2004 and were married 6 months later. We have had an incredible 7 years of marriage and are so blessed to be parents to the coolest boy in the whole world (Nash) who was born in September of 2009.

In December 2006 I started a web design business called IVM Communications (renamed IVM Web Solutions in 2009) as a side business to earn some extra income. In June 2008, I began pursuing IVM full-time. IVM Web Solutions developed over 40 websites with clients such as BBQ contest promoters, local coffee shops, churches, and various non-profit organizations.

From 2008 to 2011, nearly all of my website development utilized the Joomla! Content Management System. The capacity of Joomla! combined with 3rd party extensions allowed me to do things that would have taken me years of study to know how to do otherwise.

On May 31, 2011, I began a new phase of my webcentric career as Online Marketing and Web Design Consultant at Aristotle in downtown Little Rock. This new opportunity allows me to work with a mix of programmers, artists, marketers, project managers and clients in a fast-paced environment. It’s an amazing company, and I’m honored to be a part of such a great team.

My passions include:
