My friend Rudy Carrasco just sent this out in his e-mail newsletter. Since diversity is something that is important to me and the church I attend (Fellowship North), I thought I'd share this interview with Rudy and DJ Chuang on the subject of developing minority leadership.
Rudy writes in his e-mail...
The other day I did a video discussion with DJ Chuang of the L2 Foundation & Leadership Network. Our topic was "Leading with Color: How to Raise Up Minority Leaders."
So I was given a riding lawn mower a few weeks ago and just got around to firing it up this evening.
Getting the hang of this mower was not as easy as I had thought. Trying to maneuver around with less than precision steering was a workout. Going up the steep incline of parts of my backyard proved to be too great a challenge for the 16+ year old machine.

I was recently blessed by my parent’s with an early birthday present…the Creative Vado HD pocket video camcorder. This is timely since the birth of my son Robert NASH McBryde is right around the corner, and we want to capture those special moments in his life as a baby, toddler, adolescent, etc. etc.
But not only will the Vado be useful for family memories, it has already been helpful for my website design biz. The video below is of my dear friend Amos Gray welcoming visitors to his new website (www.amosspeaks.com) designed by yours truly.
We shot several videos yesterday morning at RobinsonHigh School and in front of First Baptist Church Pankey where Amos went to church as a kid. The Lord opened up several spontaneous opportunities to film people sharing testimonies about Amos and his ability to speak into the lives of students and help teachers reach hard-to-reach students.
Check out the video below and be sure to visit www.amosspeaks.com to see the rest of the videos.
