Born and raised in Arkansas, I’ve lived all across the country—from Colorado, Georgia, and Illinois to California. Today, I live in the Los Angeles area with my wife and son. In 2020, we helped plant a diverse church community called The Church We Hope For, where my wife, Inés, serves as the lead pastor. We’re also the parents of an amazing son who loves soccer and (thankfully) shares almost all of my taste in music.
My faith has been my anchor since I was ten years old, eventually leading me to earn a Master of Arts at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. But my path took an unexpected turn in 2003. While serving as the young adults pastor and communications director at Mosaic Church in Little Rock, I taught myself web design and fell completely in love with the digital world.
In 2006, I turned that side hustle into a full-time business called IVM Web Solutions. Over the years, I got to craft more than 40 websites for an incredibly diverse mix of clients, including BBQ contest promoters, local coffee shops, churches, and non-profits. Running that business sparked an 11-year career managing digital projects for various creative agencies. Today, I bring that background to Red Hat, where I work as a Principal Program Manager. If you aren’t familiar with Red Hat, we’re an enterprise software company deeply rooted in open-source solutions—a philosophy I’ve loved and worked with since around 2008.
Whether I’m navigating vocational ministry or leading tech teams, my approach has always been the same: build spaces where people feel seen, heard, and respected. I firmly believe that the best solutions come from collaborative teams that actually trust each other.
